The two-year agreement, valued at up to £37.5m, began on 1 November. Procurement documents reveal that the primary focus will be the NHS.uk site, with flexibility to extend support to other national digital channels such as the NHS App and Login system. The contract award notice describes the scope as the “delivery of large-scale public-facing digital services to support development for NHS.uk and the wider portfolio.”

BJSS, headquartered in Leeds, has a long history of collaboration with the NHS, having secured several significant contracts in recent years. These include a £20m deal in 2021 for work on NHS.uk and the NHS App, and £18m for supporting the central Spine platform, which connects tens of thousands of health IT systems. In 2022, BJSS won an £8.5m contract for NHS Login and additional agreements worth over £15m for GP IT systems.

Last year, the company also secured a £25.6m contract for digital support to NHS England’s Cohorting service. BJSS continues to be a key partner in the NHS’s digital transformation efforts, contributing to the development and maintenance of critical digital infrastructure.
