The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has launched The Charter for the Development & Use of Artificial Intelligence, aimed at building public trust and establishing robust principles for the responsible application of advanced AI models.
In spelling out the UAE’s goals for the ethical, safe and responsible development and usage of AI, the Charter provides a basis for achieving the UAE's National Strategy for AI and positioning the country as a leading nation in AI by 2031.
The UAE's Minister for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, Omar Sultan Al Olama, underlined that the Principles would contribute to the UAE's ambition for digital infrastructure and integrated systems that supports the adoption of AI across vital sectors.
